The Boqueron

Darryl Powlison

Ditch Day, sneak away,
At the Boqueron we play,
Sounds of water rushing past,
Swim the river if you're fast,
Tan on rocks and jump in pool,
The water's clear and very cool!
Jump from rock to rock or crawl,
Hold up pants in waterfall,
Dam the stream and mountain climb,
See how far we get this time,
Gather wood and build a fire,
Heat some food if you desire,
Sing some songs and then we share,
Such dear old memories of there,
Pack up things all wet and musty,
Get in truck and soon be dusty,
Girls complain about their hair,
Boys sing loud and they don't care,
Bumped and tired we're home at last,
But looking back we had a blast.
